LARRY J. BEEBE

   Larry J. Beebe, 68, of 1135 South 16th, Quincy, died unexpectedly at 8:13 am Sunday (April 15, 2012) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born July 12, 1943 in Hersman, Illinois, Larry was the son of Alvin L. and Lorena Shepherd Beebe. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Miller on December 31, 1960 in Quncy. She survives.

   Larry was a member North Side Boat Club and the Machinist Lodge 822 and a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Elks Lodge No. 100.  An avid golfer and St. Louis Cardinals fan, Larry also was a Nascar Fan and loved working outdoors in his yard and the time he spent with his pet dog, Roxy. A wonderful husband, dad and grandpa, Larry loved being with his family, especially his great granddaughter, Laila, and will be remembered as the worlds greatest family man.

   Larry was employed as a machinist for Gardner Denver Company for 26 years, retiring in 2001.

   Survivors include his wife, Jackie; two sons, Rodney Beebe (Cheryl) and Larry Michael Beebe both of Quincy; a daughter in law, Julie Beebe of Quincy; four grandchildren, Cassie Beebe (Derek Ott), Clinton Beebe, Austin Beebe and Amber Beebe all of Quincy; a great granddaughter, Laila Ott of Quincy; two brothers, Terry Beebe (Linda) and Darian Beebe (Marie) both of San Leandro, CA; three sisters, Patty Wardlow of Quincy and Tina Corpus (Chuck) and Cindy Majors both of San Leandro, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two nieces, Cindy Campbell and Danielle Hess; and a nephew, Travis Kendrick.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Jim Dennis.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning  until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to The Crossing 929 or the Blessing Heart Center.
