  Florence S. Havermale, 90, of Quincy, died at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday (February 17, 2015) in St. Vincent's Home.
   Born November 26, 1924 in Quincy, Florence was the daughter of Silas and Mary "May" Crabbe Emerick. She married James H. Havermale on May 10, 1942 in Palmyra, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on February 15, 2003.

   Florence was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church and was a former member of St. Boniface Catholic Church where she was active with the Ladies organizations.  An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, she also enjoyed quilting, playing cards, Bingo and loved dancing.  Florence was a former member of the Women of the Moose where she had served as Senior Regent.

   Florence was employed at NEMO Manufacturing in LaGrange until her retirement. She was previously employed in the coffee shop at the Illinois Veteran's Home.

   Survivors include three sons, John Kent Havermale Sr. (Diana) of Hunnewell, MO, Robert Lee Havermale (Karen) of Lewistown, MO and  Michael Thomas Havermale (Regina) of North Branch, MI; four daughters, Betty Jean Golden (Jerry) of Golden, IL, Sandra Ann Meyer (Richard) of Coopersville, MI, Barbara Jo VanCamp (Terry) of Springfield, IL and Patricia Marie Hildebrand (Grant) of Hannibal, MO; twenty one grandchildren; three step grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Emerick and Albert Emerick (Darlene) both of Quincy; a sister, Edna Mae Smith of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Havermale was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Sr.; three sons, James Havermale Jr., Ronald Lee Havermale and a son in infancy; and ten brothers and sisters.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in St. Peters Catholic Church by Monsignor Leo Enlow.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.  

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or St. Vincent's Home.
