   Maxine Gengenbacher, 86, of Quincy died at 11:28 p.m. Monday (December 12, 2016) in St. Vincent's Home.

   Born June 26, 1930, in Canton, Missouri, Maxine was the daughter of Bernard and Marie Henderson Baker.  She married Charles "Chuck" Gengenbacher on June 25, 1949 in Quincy.  He preceded Maxine in death on June 5, 2015.

   Maxine was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, the Gem Dandies Square Club and the Campers Stampers Camping Club.  She enjoyed camping in her motor homes, playing cards, and dog sitting two little Yorkies, Stormy and Blue Sky.

   Maxine owned and operated Mrs. G's House of Electrolysis from 1978 until her retirement in 1992.  Previous to that she was employed at St. Mary's Hospital in labor and delivery and later joined P & S Clinic as a Doctor's Assistant in Dermatology.

   Survivors include her son, Michael Gengenbacher (Paulette) of Gilbert, AZ; a granddaughter, Michelle Fisher (Scott) of Maricopa, AZ; a great granddaughter, Gabriella; a nephew, Bernard Baker (Bonnie) of Quincy; a niece, Dena Hughs (Kevin) of Quincy; and several loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Gengenbacher was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chuck; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Maurine Baker; and a cousin, Betty Ellison.

   Cremation has been accorded to Maxine.  Graveside services will be held Thursday morning (April 6, 2017) at 10:00 in Calvary Cemetery.

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services.

   Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

   Arrangements are in the care of the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
