PHYLLIS  E.  DINGERSON

   Phyllis Eileen Dingerson, 89, of Payson, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday (May 16, 2017) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born June 30, 1927 in Quincy, Phyllis was the daughter of Martin "Mattie" and Ethel Flack Nichols.  She married Richard H. Dingerson on March 10, 1946 in Palmyra, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on September 27, 2015.

   Phyllis was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church and the Payson Garden Club.  She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, fishing and playing cards with family and friends.  She was an active supporter and past board member of Camp Callahan.

   A 1945 graduate of Mendon High School, Phyllis was employed at Motorola until their closing.  She then became a secretarial manager for Tri County Easter Seals and Camp Callahan for 10 years until her retirement in 1990.

   Survivors include three daughters, Richene Stotts (Wayne) of Payson, IL, Donna D. Cramer (Paul) of Payson, IL and Karen E. Uppinghouse (Mick) of Fowler, IL; a son, Allen W. Dingerson (Joyce) of Mt. Vernon, MO; eleven grandchildren, Allen W. Stotts, John David Stotts (Sabrina), Dawn Rae Colton (Brad), Eric Stotts, Sarah Maas (James), Corey Stotts  (Leigh), Ragan Stotts (Amanda), Michael Cramer (Sara), Mathew Cramer (Shelly), Jesse Uppinghouse (Amber) and Justin Uppinghouse (Erin);  twenty eight great grandchildren; a sister in law, Dorothy Nichols of Ursa, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; five brothers;
and four sisters.

   Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Friends are invited to visitation on Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.

   Memorials may be made to the Plainville United Methodist Church or to Camp Callahan.
