NANCY E. HEIDEN

   Nancy E. Heiden, 65 of  Sunset Home, formerly of 2014 Jefferson, Quincy, died at 11:57 a.m. Saturday (December 10, 2011) in the home.

   Born April 18, 1946 in Beardstown, Illinois, Nancy was the daughter of James M. and Reta K. Wallace McComas.  She married Thomas Heiden on June 5, 1965 in Quincy.  He preceded her in death on May 15, 2005.

   An avid reader, Nancy also enjoyed crafts and going to craft shows. She was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.

   Nancy had operated a day care center from her home from1980 until 2005 when she was employed at Lowe's. She retired in 2009 due to ill health.

   Survivors include three sons, Scott Heiden and his wife Sara of Quincy, Robert Heiden and his wife Melissa of Quincy and Jeremy Heiden and his wife Dorina of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Erin Heiden, Bryce Heiden, Danielle Heiden, Andrea Heiden, Dallas Heiden, Trevor Heiden, McKenzie Heiden and Ethan Ward; a sister, Sarah Dougherty of Payson, IL; her step mother, Jean McComas of Quincy; two step brothers, Lonnie Standard of Bloomington, IL and Leon Standard of Dallas, TX; two step sisters, Laurie Jennings and her husband Bob of Galesburg, IL and Lisa Elsenpeter and her husband Rob of Bloomington, IL; and many loving nieces, nephews, step nieces and step nephews.

   Mrs. Heiden was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Tom.

    Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Roger Selves.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center.
