ROSE  EMMA  HEINE

   Mrs. Rose Emma Heine, 93, of Lincoln, Illinois, formerly of the Payson, Plainville and Liberty area, died at 1:05 a.m. Friday (January 13, 2012) in the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

   Born April 30, 1918 in Adams County, Illinois, Emma was the daughter of Earnest and Ada Mewmaw Griggs. She married Russell "Buck" Heine on March 9, 1938 in Marceline, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1999.

   A member of the Liberty Garden Club and a founding member of Akers Chapel Church, Emma enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards and board games, but most of all, Emma loved spending time visiting with her family and friends.

   Mrs. Heine was employed as a secretary at Quincy Clinic until 1958 when she began her career at the Farmers Bank of Liberty, retiring as a Vice President in 1981.

   Survivors include a son, Ronald E. Heine of Eugene, OR; four grandchildren, Pamela Sheley (Doug) of Lincoln, IL, Gail Carmichael (Rich) of Brazil, IN, Robert Heine of Whitehall, IL and Katrina Heine of Eugene, OR; five great grandchildren, Sara Bailey (Justin), Jon Carmichael, Isaac Sheley, Emily Sheley and Grace Sheley; two great great grandchildren, Laura Bailey and Micah Bailey; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Heine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Harry Griggs and Ellis Griggs; and a sister, Lucy Larimore.

   Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 am in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by the Rev. Jim Poll. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Monday morning from 10:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Lincoln Christian University or the Publication "Herold of His Coming" (Rich Carmichael, Publisher)
