MILLY  IPPENSEN

   Mrs. Mildred L. "Milly" Ippensen, 89, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 1127 Springlake Road, Quincy, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday (April 8, 2012) in the Good Samaritan Home.

   Born June 27, 1922 in Golden, Illinois, Milly was the daughter of Louis M. and Alvina M. Bienhoff Schoch. She married Ervin Ippensen on October 27, 1944 in Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ in Quincy. He preceded her in death on November 21, 2001.

   Milly was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was active with the Couples Club, See and Do Club, and the Afternoon Women's Guild where she was a Past President and member of the Past President's Club. She was also an active member of the Adams County Farm Bureau and the  Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she was a Past President of the Eagles Auxiliary.  Milly enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, and listening and playing music. She always had a smile and loved spending time with her family and friends.

   Milly was a homemaker and helped her husband Ervin farm in Riverside Township all of their married life.

   Survivors include a son, Larry Ippensen (Coni Triplett) of Quincy; four grandchildren, Dennis Ippensen (Katie) of Liberty, IL, Sherri Fuller (Terry) of Ursa, IL, Alan Ippensen (Brittney) of Quincy and Juan Martinez (Jennifer) of             , IA; eight great grandchildren, Lane Ippensen, Jordan Fuller, Parker Fuller, Lindsey Fuller, Madison Ippensen, Mara Ippensen, Carlee Martinez and Kaylin Martinez; four brothers, Donald Schoch (Janet) of       , FL, Eldon Schoch of Quincy, Russell Schoch (Carol) of Quincy and Alfred Schoch of        , FL; three sisters, Wilma "Willy" Veach (LeRoy) of Quincy, Kelly Crear of Lincoln, NE and Shirley Klink of Lincoln, NE; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Ippensen was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in law, Gerri Ippensen; a brother, LeRoy Schoch; three brothers in law, Darrell Klink, Curtis Crear and Alvin Ippensen; and four sisters in law, Dee Schoch, Anna Ippensen, Norma Speckhart and Laura Robertson.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wanda Seydel.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home, Salem Church or the Adams County Farm Bureau.
