   Mr. Donald Bruce Woosley, 68, of 829 Joshua Street, Quincy, died at 3:07 p.m. Tuesday (May 1, 2012) in his home.

   Born March 11, 1944 in East Alton, Illinois, Bruce was the son of Oral and Geraldine Davis Woosley. He married Charlotte Hankins on August 14, 1965 in Quincy. She survives.

   An avid hunter and fisherman, Bruce also enjoyed working in his yard and bird watching, especially Eagles and Purple Martins. He was a former member of Quincy American Legion Post 37, Twin Oaks Club and the Loyal Order of Moose.  Mr. Woosley served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

   Bruce was employed as a Maintenance Engineer for Southern Host Hotels in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for many years. He moved to Quincy and worked for the Albanese Development Company from 1984 until his retirement in 1988.

   Survivors include his lifelong companion, Charlotte; a son, Clyde "Butch" Woosley (Angie) of Quincy; a daughter, Tina James (Steve) of Bluffs, IL; four grandchildren, Alexis Woosley and Blake Woosley both of Quincy, Tanista Knight of Beardstown, IL and Meaka Knight of Jacksonville, IL; nine great grandchildren; his step mother, Norma Green (Bob) of Pittsfield, IL; two brothers, Ronald Woosley (Vera) of Bluffs, IL and Tony Woosley (Lori) of Sheridan, IL; two sisters, Patricia Meyers (Gene) of Quincy and Tammy Pennell (Dave) of Winchester, IL; two Aunts, Marge Palarmo (Paul) of Wood River, IL and Irene Woosley of Alton, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews. Also surviving are three brothers in law, Robert Hankins (Dottie), Gary Hankins and Douglas Hankins (Pam); four sisters in law, Penny Musolino (Bob), Diana Ogle (Greg), Freda Hankins and Jackie Hankins.

   Mr. Woosley was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Doshala Graves; three brothers, Steven Woosley, Ricky Woosley and Clyde Woosley; and his father and mother in law, William and Mary Hankins; two brothers inlaw, Charles Hankins and William Hankins.

   Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in Quincy Memorial Park by Mr. Bob Musolino.  Military Honors will be given by  the Payson V. F. W. Post 2061 and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Detail.

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to the Donald Woosley Memorial Fund.

Sorry to hear about Bruce''s passing. Have many great memories of him from Oklahoma.
