   Dolores M. Leebold Herzog, 78 of Quincy died at 5:55 am Sunday (July 8, 2012) at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.

   Born December 1, 1933 in Moline, IL.  Dolores was the daughter of Mildred Jacobs.  She first married G. Richard Leebold in 1952 in Dallas City, IL.  He preceded her in death on December 24, 1997.  She then married Leo E. Herzog on May 10, 2003 in Quincy, IL.  He survives.

   Dolores was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ.  She enjoyed cooking, canning, making Christmas candy, gardening and working outdoors.  Dolores was a huge sports fan.  She was an avid Dallas Cowboys Football fan, St. Louis Blues Hockey fan and a Carl Edwards Nascar racing fan.

    She was employed at Motorola for 11 years until it's closing.  She and her husband G. Richard Leebold then became caretakers at the Ursa Retreat House for 21 years.  After his death she worked at Walmart for 5 years before retiring in 2003.

   Survivors include her husband Leo, one son Rick R. Leebold (Michelle) of Liberty; two daughters Barbara Stephens (Brad) of Quincy and Diana Meyer (Leon) of Quincy; one step son David Herzog (Dawn) of Quincy; seven grandchildren Marsha Hernandez, Trish Minnick (Clay), Travis Nickell all of Tennessee, Eric DeWitt of Liberty, Heather DeWitt of Quincy Jesse and Dalton Leebold of Loraine, IL; five step grandchildren Joshua Herzog, Ryan Herzog, Makayla Herzog all of Quincy, Taylor Mueller and Joe Mueller both of St. Louis; seven great grandchildren Atlanta, Isaiah, Alexzandrya, Haven, Ty, Aspen and Caitlyn.  Also surviving are three brothers Jerry Mortenson (Sandy) of Colorado, Carl Mortenson (Peggy)  of the Quad Cities and Clark Mortenson (Darrellyn) of Erie, IL.

   Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband G. Richard and a great grandson Austin DeWitt.

   A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Private family inurnment will be held at Greenmount Cemetery with the Rev. Hank Murry officating.

   Memorials may be made to the Ursa Retreat House.

Di, & The Whole Family of Dee, so sorry to hear about your Mother, just know she is a peace now and is in heaven with the love of her life. she was a GREAT Woman, that will be missed by all. My prayers are with you all. God Bless Brenna
