WILLIAM J. WEGS

   Mr. William J. "Bill" Wegs, 66, of Quincy died at 1:52 a.m. Sunday (July 29, 2012) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born December 7, 1945 in Quincy, Bill was the son of  Alfred and Mary Salrin Wegs.  He married Jill Iseminger on May 18, 1968 in Quincy. She survives.

    Bill served his country in the U. S. Army during Vietnam.  He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, North Side Boat Club where he was an avid trap shooter and Arrowhead Heights Golf Course in Camp Point where he enjoyed golfing with his sons in law.  A devoted family man, Bill loved every minute he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

   Bill was employed as a machinist for 42 years at Gardner Denver Company and was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Gardner Denver.

   Survivors include his wife, Jill; two daughters, Angela Desnoyer (Brett) of Bridgeton, MO and Melissa Milhauser (Greg) of Quincy; four grandchildren, Juliet Desnoyer, Luke Desnoyer, Joe Desnoyer and Katlin Milhauser; a brother, James Wegs (Pam) of Georgetown, KY; two sisters, Jeannie Rucker of Quincy and Margie Dunn (Doug) of Mt. Sterling, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 10:00 in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Monsignor Michael Kuse. Burial with Military Honors will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home.  A Parrish Prayer Service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:30 at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association A.L.S. Division, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or the North Side Boat Club Jr. League Trapshooting.
