KEVIN TOWNSEND

   Mr. Kevin Townsend, 60, of 616 South 16th Street Quincy, died at 7:55 a.m. Tuesday (August 7, 2012) in his home.

   Born October 15, 1951 in Quincy, Kevin was the son of Bill and Bert Shipman Townsend.

   Kevin was a 1969 graduate of Quincy High School. He enjoyed hunting, back yard barbecues, bowling, fishing, boating and being on the river. He especially loved spending time with his family and his three faithful dogs Brutus, Kynzie and Bandit.

   Mr Townsend was employed at Titan Wheel as a tow motor mechanic for 28 years until his retirement in 2012.

   Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Cannon and her husband Mark of Loveland, CO and Kindra Townsend of Quincy; five step-children, Jessica Schutte, Jason Schutte and his wife Kelsey, Sean Fischer, Jacey Olson all of Quincy and Keegan James and her husband John of Palmyra, MO; five grandchildren, Zachery Smith and Heaven Launer  both of Quincy, Ivy Cannon, Ian Cannon and Mia Cannon all of Loveland, CO; a brother Gary Townsend and a sister Tonia Schnepf both of Quincy. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents.

   Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Josh Finklea officiating.

   There is no visitation but family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service.

   Memorials may be made to the Kevin Townsend Memorial Fund.

Tonia and Gary,
Sorry to hear about Kevin. I can still remember when he would want to stay in your room when I would come over and he would not like it when he had to leave. He was always such a good kid. You have our condolences. Carol and Kent gronewold
