   Mr. Michael A. Blunt, 68, of 611 Country Club Heights, Quincy, died at 3:16 p.m. Sunday (August 26, 2012) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born  June 17, 1944 in Macomb, Illinois, Michael was the son of Walter and Betty Louise Myers Blunt.  He married Alice K. Hill on July 1, 1966 in Quincy. She survives.

   Michael had attended First Christian Church.  He enjoyed bowling and watching James Bond and old western movies.  

   Michael was employed as a custodian for Quincy Public Schools for 14 years until his retirement.

   Survivors include his wife, Alice; a daughter, Connie Blunt of Quincy; a son, Michael Lee Blunt Jr. of Quincy;a sister, Peggy Jaeger (Bob) of Sun Lakes, AZ; and two nieces, Amanda Tatko (David) of  St. Charles, IL and Robin Gossen (Jordan) of Phoenix, AZ; a great niece; and two great nephews,

   Mr. Blunt was preceded in death by his parents.

   Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Pastor Wayne LaForce.

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.  The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Senior Center.
