   Mrs. Martha Lu Heubner, 76, of Scottsdale, Arizona formerly of Quincy, died at 6:31 p.m. Friday (August 31, 2012) in the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

   Born December 12, 1935 in Beardstown, Illinois she was the daughter of Rosco and Elsie Orr Lemen. She married Ronald Heubner on May 1, 1955 in Quincy. He survives.

   Martha was an accomplished organist and pianist playing for 60 years for Madison Park Christian Church and at Faith Christian Church. She also played for many school functions and contests and for the TV program "By the Way". After she and Ron retired they moved to Scottsdale, AZ where she remained active in private child care and continued in church music in Arizona.

   Mrs. Heubner was the office manager and medical secretary for Dr. Bruce Johnson for many years until his retirement in 1988. She then stayed on during the transitional period to help Dr. Pravin Patel establish his practice.

   Survivors include her husband Ron; three cousins, Dale Van Blair Belleville, Il, James Orr of Quincy and Thomas Orr of Peoria, IL.

   She was preceded in death by her Parents.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastors Keith Ehresman and Henry Pratt officating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Faith Christian Church or Madison Park Christian Church.

Ron, I just learned about Martha's passing today when I went down to the oncology place and asked the nurses about her. Martha was one of a kind and she made my visits to the lympo rehab office something to look forward to. She was so witty and fun. I will miss her. I remember you fondly because you took such good care of her. Sadly, Sherri James
