    Juanita M. Manley, 87, of Quincy, died at 5:00 p.m. Sunday (September 23, 2102) in Blessing Hospital.

      Born November 20, 1924 in Fountain Green, Illinois, Juanita was the daughter of Jerry and Gladys Parsons Carle.  She married Otis Eugene Manley on April 11, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on March 24, 1975.

   Juanita was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the V.F.W. Auxillary.  She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, doing crossword puzzles, going to the casino and playing scratch off tickets.

   Juanita was a homecare giver in private homes and nursing homes in Quincy for many years until her retirement in 2005.

   Survivors include one daughter, Iris Rose of Quincy; one son, William "Billy" Manley; a son in law, Marvin Wellman; ten grandchildren, Jerry Rose (Deb), Richard Rose, Pam Thurman (Rick), Lisa Tournear (Kent), Brandon Bowen (Trisha), Nora Bowen, Joey Bowen, Andy Bowen, Becky Bowen and Joshua Manley; seven great grandchildren, Brenda Leppin, David Rose, Terra Scranton, Emme Tournear, Breanna Bowen, Dakota Bowen and Toni Sue Chatfield; one great great grandson, Caden Leppin; two brothers, Arthur Carle of Qquawka, IL and Jack Carle (Shirley) of Macomb, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Winking of Quincy and Maxine Johnson of Carthage, IL; a sister in law, Christine Carle of Webster, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Manley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otis; two daughters, Barbara Wellman and Eva Mae Bowen; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Manley; two brothers, Harvey Carle and a infant brother, Donald Carle; and two brothers-in-law, Tom Winking and William Johnson.

    Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Disseler officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Great River Honor Flight or to Fishing For Freedom.
