RALPH  BOTTORFF

    Mr. Ralph Bottorff, 82, of 1307 Carrington Court, Quincy died at 6:55 a.m. Sunday (November 18, 2012)  in the Illinois Veterans Home.
  
   Born July 1. 1930 in Adams County, Illinois, Ralph was the son of Harry and Mary Reese Bottorff. He married Connie Guyatt on July 24, 1964 in Quincy. She survives.

   Ralph was an active member of Central Baptist Church. He served on many committees and was  a Head Usher and Deacon. In 2006 he was voted Deacon Emeritus. Ralph and his wife Connie were members of the Silver Dollar Square Dancing Club for several years and was also a member of Teamsters Local N0. 21.He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.

   Ralph was an over the road truck driver for various trucking firms for many years. After retiring from driving he became a licensed Real Estate Broker and owner of the Cardinal Reality in Quincy for 25 years retiring in 2005 due to ill health. He received the Quincy Association of Realtor's Service Award in 2002.

   Survivors include his wife, Connie; two sons, Michael Bottorff and Daniel Bottorff both of Quincy; three grandchildren, Lindsey Lentz (Michael) of Liberty and Cameo Lynn Dufton of Riverbank, CA and Ian Patrick of IL; four great grandchildren, Jack Lentz of Liberty, Donald, Cassie and Jasmine Dufton all of Riverbank, CA; a brother Harry Bottorff Jr. of Loraine; a sister Marilyn Mettermyer of Loraine; a nephew, Tom Bottorff of Mendon; a niece, Mary Ann Benzinger (Lyle) of Mendon; two great nieces; one great nephew; a cousin, Rose Marie Shanahan of Quincy and his faithful buddy Izzy.

   Mr. Bottorff was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Bottorff

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 in the Central Baptist Church with Rev Ivan Greuter officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Quincy American Legion Post No. 37 and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Detail.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
  
  Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church or to the Illinois Veterans Home Activity Fund.
