CAROLINE  J.  MAYFIELD

   Mrs. Caroline J. Mayfield, 80, of Hannibal, Missouri, formerly of 1307 Horne Street, Quincy, died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday (November 29, 2012) in Hannibal Regional Hospital.

   Born April 4, 1932 in Quincy, Caroline was the daughter of Amos and Flora Louderback Miller. She married Harvey D. Mayfield on November 10, 1955 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2007.

   Caroline enjoyed word search and crossword puzzles. She was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

   Mrs. Mayfield was employed at Motorola until their closing and then at Blessing Hospital in the Housekeeping Department until her retirement.

   Survivors include two daughters, Patricia McGlaughlin of Hannibal, MO and Suzanne Birk of Germany; two sons, David Mayfield (Sherri) and Dick Kerker (Kathy) both of Quincy; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a sister, Beulah Hendricks of Quincy; a brother, Irvin Miller (Betty) of Quincy; a brother in law, Chalmer Robinson of Barry, IL; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Mayfield was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; a sister, Evelyn Robinson; and a brother in law, Paul Hendricks.

   Graveside services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home by Pastor Chuck Sackett.

   Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation.

David and Sherri so sorry to hear about your loss. She was a great lady, she touched the hearts of many. You are in my thoughts.
