   Mrs. Clara R. Tucker, 88, of Quincy, died at 11:10 p.m. Saturday (December 15, 2012) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born September 13, 1924 in Quincy, Clara was the daughter of Albert and Edith Willing Broemmer.  She married John S. Tucker on June 8, 1946 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1979.

   Clara was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.  She enjoyed fishing, bird watching and caring for her flower garden and houseplants. Clara loved spending time with her family and friends playing cards and going to Bingo.

   Clara devoted her life to taking care of her family.

   Survivors include two sons, Jack L. Tucker (Nancy) and Terry J. Tucker (Mary Lou) both of Quincy; five grandchildren, Jeffrey (Susan) Tucker of Monroe City, MO, Tracy Tucker (finace' Chad Uplinger) of Quincy, Christina Creasy (James) of Payson, IL, Brian Tucker (Robin) of Quincy and Elizabeth Milhauser (Pat) of Quincy; twelve great grandchildren, Robby Kimbrell, McKenna Uplinger, Camden Uplinger, Dallas Cookson, Alexandrea Cookson, Kaniah Creasy, Abigail Cookson, Kristin Tucker, Kyleigh Wyss, Caitlin Wyss, Paige Milhauser and Hayley Milhauser; two brothers, George Broemmer (Fran) and Clarence Broemmer both of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a son, Steve A. Tucker; two brothers, Robert Broemmer and Albert Broemmer; and three sisters, Marie Upchurch, Florence Patterson and Stella Maxwell.

   Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:15 in Quincy Memorial Park by the Rev. Tom Shaughnessy.

   Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.

To all the Tucker Family,Sorry to hear of the loss of Clara. All though Steve and I had not seen Clara for many years due to moving from Quincy she was a wonderful Lady and I'm know she will be truly missed by all who knew her,and we also didn't know Steve had passed away.My Steve and I are very sorry to hear that as well.Your brother Steve and my Husband Steve use to live together, thats how we got to know Clara and John and at North Side Boat Club.Your Mom and Dad and your Brother were really Special. We live in Macomb,Il. now and have lost touch with many many people. So we try and keep up on things by computer. Again Please except our Deepest Sympathy and our Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. GodBless You All Sincerly
