SERETTA C. DANIELS

   Mrs. Seretta C. Daniels, 91, of Quincy, died at 10:45 p.m. Sunday (December 16, 2012) in the Good Samaritan Home.

   Born November 27, 1921 in Loraine, Illinois, Seretta was the daughter of Carroll and Marie M. Miller Bryson. She married Omer Daniels on April 5, 1947 in Quincy. He preceded her in death in 1976.

   Seretta was a graduate of Mendon High School and attended Paloma United Methodist Church. She enjoyed helping her daughter with her Day Care School, doing puzzles and especially loved spending time with her family.

   Mrs. Daniels was employed at North Adams Home for several years and at the Ayerco Convenient Center in Camp Point until her retirement.

   Survivors include; two sons, David Daniels (Chris Watkins) and Brett Daniels ( Donna Smith) both of Quincy; a daughter, Susan Tresch of Quincy; a step son, Richard Daniels of Glasford, IL; a step daughter, Mary Larson of Texas; three grandchildren, Tiffany Witt, Danielle Wilson (Josh) and Malissa Starman (Levi Hills) all of Quincy; two step grandchildren, Shane Tresch of Los Angeles, CA and Shawn Hawkins of Chicago, Il; seven great grandchildren, Madison Rampley, Marlea Hamby, Dakota Wilson, Jerzie Wilson, Montana Wilson, Kendra Starman and DeLainey Hills; one brother, Charles "Squirley" Bryson Sr. (Willia) of Marcelline, IL; three nephews, Charles Bryson Jr. (Jane) of Marcelline, IL, Doug Bryson (Sherry) of Mendon and Mike Bryson (Mary) of Quincy; a niece, Sandra Jourdan (Junior) of Salem, IL.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Marla Witt; a son in law, Dennis Tresch and a grandson, Chance Wiskirchen.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in  the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Wentzel. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery

   Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services.

   Memorials may be made to the Seretta Daniels Memorial Fund.
