   Mrs. Sharon Lynne Parchim, 63, of 1307 South 16th, Quincy, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday (January 9, 2013) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born July 31, 1949 in Quincy, Sharon was the daughter of Edward H. and Doris Littleton Starman.  She married Allan L. "Al" Parchim Sr. on June 25, 1969 in Columbia, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on November 30, 1987.

   Sharon was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved animals, caring for many stray cats and her own cat, Snoopy.

   Sharon was currently employed as a caregiver for Community Care. She had previously worked at Concord Custom Cleaners for over 10 years.

   Survivors include a son, Allan L. Parchim Jr. of Quincy; a daughter, Tara Clary (Thomas) of LeClaire, IA; a granddaughter, Brittany Clary of LeClaire, IA; a brother, Gale Starman (Louise) of Kansas City, KS; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Mrs. Parchim was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Al.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Tomko.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Blessing Cancer Center.

I use to work with Sharon at Concord Cleaners. She was a sweet person. I am very sorry for the loss of Sharon. May GOD be with you at this time. Your family will be in our prayers.
