MAE DAGGETT

   Mae Daggett, 85, of Quincy died at 9:43 p.m. Saturday (February 2, 2013) surrounded by her family in Sunset Home.

  Born March 17, 1927 in Gladstone, IL, Mae was the daughter of Troy and Grace Beebe Kindhart Sr.  She married Roy E. Daggett on October 31, 1942 in Palmyra, MO.  He preceded her in death on August 30, 1991.

   Mae was a member of The Crossing.  When she attended Immanuel and Lighthouse Baptist Churches she was active in the quilting circle and in nursery care.  She enjoyed league bowling and was a wonderful wife and devoted mother and grandmother always ready to help her family.

   Mae was employed at Motorola for 21 years until it's closing and then at Big B and Concord Cleaners for 16 years until her retirement.

   Survivors include one daughter Judy Janes (Gilbert) of Quincy; one son Gary Daggett (Carla) of Quincy; four grandchildren; Teena Obert (Chuck) of Quincy, Shelley Smith (Chuck) of Palmyra, MO, Robin Forrester (Calvin) of Sugar Hill, GA and Tim Daggett (Brenda) of Quincy; fifteen great grandchildren Jennifer Obert, Jerad Obert (Rachael), Jacob Obert, Roy Smith, Kalynn Smith, Ashley Daggett, Alyssa Daggett, Katie Forrester, Carly Forrester, Jessica Forrester, Haley Forrester, Jessica Meredith, James Meredith and Jenna Meredith; two great great grandchildren Lilly Obert and Brayden Meredith; also surviving is one brother John D. Kindhart and his fiance' Dena of Quincy; seven sisters Pearl Kelly of Quincy, Barbara Carnes (Bob) of Liberty, Shirley Lepper of Quincy, Norma Laws of Quincy, Rhonda Murry (Rocky) of Quincy Betty Lou Pulliam (Rocky) of Quincy and Sharon Cain (Robert) of Quincy and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Daggett was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother Imogene Lamma Kindhart, her husband, three brothers Donald, Richard and Troy Kindhart Jr.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning 10:00 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Walt Wilcoxson officiating.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to The Crossing or to Sunset Home
