SHIRLEY J. WARNING

   Shirley J. Warning, 73, of 2500 College passed away peacefully at 5:00 a.m. Friday (March 29, 2013) in her home.

   Born August 8, 1939 in Payson, Shirley was the daughter of Roy and Mary Jane Kinder Bradley.  She married Carl Warning on July 14, 1956 in Quincy.  He survives.

   Shirley enjoyed watching and going to Nascar and stock car races, riding in their golf cart on their farm, riding and giving her children rides on her motorcycle, flower gardening, playing bingo and dancing.  Her favorite thing was going to garage sales.  Shirley was a wonderful wife and devoted mother to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

  Survivors include her husband Carl; six children Cathy Taute (Chris) of Ottumwa, IA, Vickie Gallaher of Quincy, Brenda McGlasson (Guy) of Liberty, Terry Warning of Quincy, Christine Young of Hannibal, MO, Timothy Warning (Tammy) of Quincy; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren;  a step mother  Lorna Quandahl Bradley of Quincy;  three sisters Carol Ann Goodwin (Jerry) of Liberty, Debra "Debbie" Lenz of Liberty and Sharon Kay Read of St. Louis, MO; one step sister Jean Rees (David) of Quincy and a sister in law Nola Bradley.

   Mrs. Warning was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Charles Roy Bradley, and a brother-in-law Ken Read.

   Graveside services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Xander Cemetery near Liberty with Pastor Larry Wentzel officiating.

   Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

   Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice.
