ELIZABETH R. "BETTY" DISSELHORST

   Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Disselhorst, 88, of Quincy died at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday (April 9, 2013) in the Good Samaritan Home.

   Born March 26, 1925 in Quincy, Betty was the daughter of William and Clara Brink Dinkheller. She married Glen Disselhorst on September 3, 1949 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2012.

   Betty was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ and a graduate of Quincy High School.

   Mrs. Disselhorst was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and helped her husband on their farm in Ellington Township all of their married life.

   Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Moore and her husband Curtis of Quincy; a son, Ron Disselhorst of Quincy and many loving nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; three sisters, Mildred Anderson, Virginia Schonarth and Lucille Dinkheller; four brothers, Arthur, Charles, Ralph and Richard Dinkheller.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Chaplain James Riley officating.  Burial will be Greenmount Cemetery                  

   Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services in the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Home, Quincy Humane Society or Salem Church.

   The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at the Good Samaritan Home.
