   Richard W. "Rick" Durk, 48, of Plainville died at 2:19 p.m. Thursday (May 9, 2013) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born May 21, 1964 in Quincy, Rick was the son on Michael and Shirley Brocksieck Durk.  He married Julie A. Hodge on December 11, 1998 in Quincy.  She survives.

   He loved all kinds of animals and especially enjoyed being at home with his family.

   Rick was currently employed by R.J. Boone Construction in Plainville.

   Survivors besides his wife Julie include his parents Michael & Shirley Durk of Hull, IL; two step sons Robert R. Willis and Michael Willis (Krissy) both of Kansas City, KS; two step grandchildren Mandi Willis and Lissi Willis both of Kansas City, KS; two nephews Johnathan Durk of Quincy and Dakota Hill of Hull, IL; two brothers Greg Durk (Christy) and Shawn Durk (Angela) both of Quincy; two step nieces Amy and Dalina Smith both of Quincy; one sister Liana Durk of Hull, IL.  Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

   Mr. Durk was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Frances Durk and maternal grandparents Chris and Gertrude Brocksieck.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the House of Prayer Church in Kinderhook, IL with Pastor Bob Cook officiating.

   Visitation will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

   Memorials may be made to the Richard W. Durk Memorial Fund.

   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
