RALPH  E. REDDICK

   Mr. Ralph Edward Reddick, 81, of Quincy, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Friday (May 17, 2013) in h is home surrounded by his loving family.

   Born February 21, 1932 in Quincy, Ralph was the son of Nicholaus Everett and Virginia Wiechman Reddick. He married Betty Vogel on July 4, 1953 in St. John's Episcopal Church in Quincy.  She survives.

   Mr. Reddick was a longtime employee of Gardner Denver Company and later for the State of Missouri Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain State Park until his retirement.

   Following his retirement, Ralph and Betty traveled the Tri State area selling their handcrafted art. They enjoyed meeting new people wherever they traveled. Mr.Reddick enjoyed nature, reading, spending time with his children and grandchildren and he especially enjoyed family trips to the Florida panhandle. Most recently, Ralph enjoyed his beloved pet, Shag.

   Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty; his four children, Debra Reddick of Marietta, GA, Bruce Reddick of Keokuk, IA, Kevin Reddick (Marilyn) of Quincy and Kathy Hoener (Mark) of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Dawn Rozofsky (Willie), Shane Woodyard (Michelle), Chad Reddick, Eric Hoener (Carrie), Bradley Reddick, Beverly Reddick and Bryan Reddick; two step grandchildren, Brandy Lear and Mandy Lear; ten great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Lang, Helen Shane and Judy Flynn; a brother, Paul Reddick (Sherry); many loving nieces and nephews; and a longtime friend, Joe Hultz.

   Mr. Reddick was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Leroy Reddick.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor James Riley. Private inurnment will be held at a later date.

   Visitation will be Wednesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Quincy Humane Society.
