ADAM J. PRIEPOT

   Adam J. Priepot, 81, of The Villages, Florida,  formerly of Quincy, died at 10:10 a.m. Saturday (July 6, 2013) in his home.

  Born July 3, 1932 in Quincy, Adam was the son of Adam and Lola Kealen Priepot.  He married Nancy "Elaine" Milhauser in Quincy.  She survives.

   Mr. Priepot served his country in the Army during the Korean War.  He was a 1950 graduate of Quincy High School, and went on to receive his  Bachleor's Arts degree from Western Illinois University.  Mr. Priepot was employed in the corporate offices of Chrysler Corporation in St. Louis for 35 years until his retirement.

   Adam was an avid history reader.  He loved animals and enjoyed playing tennis and golf and was an excellent baseball player in his youth.

   Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Shawn G. Priepot (Lisa) of St. Charles, MO; a brother, Donald Priepot (Linda) of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Cheryl McGartland (Paige) and Norma Harvey (Richard) both of Quincy; and a sister in-law, Donna G. Gross of Centennial, CO; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Priepot was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Joyce Lunsford.

   Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Metz officiating.  Burial with military honors by the Illinois National Guard Funeral Detail will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
  
   Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Friday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to Luther Memorial Church or to Cornerstone Hospice in (The Villages, Florida).
