   Joni D. Stark, 55, of Quincy, died at 6:13 p.m. Friday (July 26, 2013) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born November 29, 1957 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Joni was the daughter of Harry and Virginia Langdon Dyel.

   Joni attended Lighthouse Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, sewing and interior decorating, and cherished the time she spent with her family.

   Town and Country Bank employed Joni as a Trust Officer where she has worked for over 15  years.

   Survivors include a son, Ryan Stark and his fiancee' Kimber Critser  of Quincy; her father, Harry Dyel of Quincy; two brothers, Mitch Dyel (Diane) and Tim Dyel both of Quincy; a sister, Ginger Davis of Vandalia, IL; many loving nieces and nephews; and her dog, Gracie.

    She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia; and her grandparents.

   Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Tim Dougherty.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.

   Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

   The family was very appreciative of the nurses and caregivers who took care of Joni and requests that memorials be made to the Blessing Hospital Skilled Care Unit.

I was very saddened to hear the news that Joni has lost her battle. She will be deeply missed. I so remember her and my sister Cindy being such good friends through all the years.
