MARILYN  M.  GRIFFITH

   Miss Marilyn M. Griffith, 90 of the St. Vincent's Home, formerly of 639 York, Quincy, died at 12:35 pm Sunday (September 8, 2013) in St. Vincent's Home.

   Born February 13, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa, Marilyn was the daughter of Marion "Jack" and Helen Gavin Griffith.

   Marilyn was of the Catholic Faith. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed Bingo and sight seeing bus trips through the Senior Citizen's Center. Marilyn also loved cats, having many as pets over the years.

   Survivors include two sisters, Norma Ames and Shirley Caine both of Quincy; a sister in law, Sarah Griffith of Quincy; a brother in law, Kenneth Mehl of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Paul Griffith, Bill Griffith, Charles Griffith, Thomas Griffith and James Griffith; a sister, Patricia Mehl; and her longtime companion, Maurice "Prod" Kindhart.

   Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:15 in Calvary Cemetery by Monsignor Michael Kuse.

   Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or the Blessing Cancer Center.
