WAYNE  V.  CALDWELL

   Mr. Wayne V. Caldwell, 76, of Quincy, died at 10:38 a.m. Sunday (November 10, 2013) in St. Vincent's Home.

   Born August 20, 1937 in Quincy, Wayne was the son of Vernice M. and Edith M. Skelcher Caldwell. He married Mary Lou Inman on January 27, 1962 in Quincy. She survives.

   Mr. Caldwell served his country in the U. S. Army.  Wayne enjoyed playing cards with his friends and taking trips to Catfish Bend Casino.

   Wayne and Mary Lou owned and operated Caldwell's Book Exchange at 1100 North 24th where they were well known as the penny candy store. Following their closing in 2005, Wayne was a driver for various car dealerships in Quincy.

   Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou; a sister, Maxine Londowski of Oshkosh, WI; a sister in law, Dodie Abbott of Coatsburg; a brother in law, Dale Inman (Ann) of Troy, MI; three nephews, Bobby Abbott, Carl Londowski (Lisa) and Alex Inman; five nieces, Sandy Waterman (Jeff), Paula Vaughan (Jim), Diane Groff (Jeff), Jill Inman and Lisa Inman; and several great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.  A very special Thank You to Wayne's sister in law, Dodie Abbott for the help and care she provided.

   Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard "Ricky" Caldwell; a sister, Wanda Upschulte; his father in law and mother in law, Stanley and Lou Inman; and three brothers in law, Phillip Upschulte, Paul Londowski and Dennis Inman.

   Graveside services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Monsignor Michael Kuse.

   There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.  The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Quincy Humane Society.
