MARY MAE PRYOR

   Mrs. Mary Mae Pryor, 56, of 2225 North 12th, Quincy, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday (December 30, 2013) in her home.

   Born April 11, 1957 in Kewanee, Illinois, Mary was the daughter of James and Patricia Platt Willey. She married Lloyd Pryor on November 17, 2003 in Quincy. He survives.

   Mary enjoyed crocheting, swimming and was honored by being named the Military Spouse of the Year in 1985. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

   Mary loved helping and caring for others. She earned her C.N.A. from John Wood Community College and had been employed by DORS in Quincy until her retirement due to health reasons.

   Survivors include her husband, Lloyd; her mother, Patricia Shively of Quincy; a son, Dennis Lee Fortner of Quincy; two daughters, ShunaSeaTossa Wooley (Shawn) of San Antonio, TX and Candice Richmiller (Josh) of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Serenity Richmiller, Kaytee Fortner, Constance Richmiller, Rebekka Fortner, Alyssa Fortner, Zachary Richmiller, Joshua D. Richmiller and Brandon Wooley; three brothers, James E. Willey (April) of Quincy, Charles R. Willey (Josephine) of Mt. Sterling, IL and Rollie Joe Davis of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Pryor was preceded in death by her father, James Willey; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

   Cremation rites have been accorded to Mary.  A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Sean and Cassandra Grey.

   Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:00 until the time of the memorial service at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the family to help pay expenses.

Chuck, Jim an your family. I will keep your family in prayer as your celebrate Mary's life. I know your loss still has come with grief and pain, just always remember her spunk.. She was a influence to your family an you always saw the love she had for each of you as she hugged your neck..

Mary Mae, It's been years since I last saw you but seeing your photo, I knew it was you and many memories of growing up together came flooding back. Rest in Peace.

Prayers going out to Mary's family. I just now found this out. Mary was one of my foster sisters when I lived with her Father and step mother, Joan Willey. I lost contact with her years ago. By reading this obit, I can see what a lovely lady she turned out to be. RIP Mary.
