ROGER A.  STICE

   Roger Allen Stice, 75, of rural Payson, Illinois, died at 5:40 p.m. Saturday (February 15, 2014) in his home.

   Born November 29, 1938 in Quincy, Roger was the son of Jason T. and Caroline W. Pfaffe Stice Sr.  He married Mary Lou Stephens on August 8, 1959 in Quincy.  She survives.

   Mr. Stice served his country in the U. S. Army as a member of the elite 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.

   An avid hunter, Roger was a life member of the N.R.A. and the I.L.A.

   Roger was employed as a journeyman cabinet maker at Huck Fixture Company in Quincy for 36 years. He retired in 1997.

   Survivors include his wife, Mary; three daughters, Cindy Williams (Don), Lori Stice and Ruth Ann Stice; six grandchildren, Markie Stice, Rob Spidle (Erin), Sean Spidle, Stephanie Spidle, Joseph Principe and Rose Principe; two step grandchildren, Paige Brady (Stefan) and Beau McGinley; a great grandson, Silas Spidle; a step great grandson, Wyatt Brady; three brothers, Michael Stice, John Stice (Ellen) and Jason Stice (Vicki); a sister, Kate Langley; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mr. Stice was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Thomas Derek Stice and Mark Allen Stice; two sisters, Judy Heck and Vicky Turnbaugh; and two brothers in law, Roy Turnbaugh and Ron Langley.

   Cremation rites have been accorded to Mr. Stice. No services will be held.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice in care of  Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301.
