PAUL ALEX WAGNER

   Paul Alex Wagner, 41, of Quincy died at 11:42 a.m. Thursday (April 10, 2014) in his home.

   Born October 31, 1972 in Rockford, IL, Paul was the son of Joseph J. and Alberta Vollbracht Spilker Wagner.  He married Rosalba "Rosie" Martin on March 18, 2007 in Quincy.  She survives.

   Paul Alex was a member of The Crossing Church.  He was a 1990 graduate of Quincy High School and attended John Wood Community College.  Paul Alex enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool,watching Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone movies and Diners, Drive-Inns and Dives on television.  He was an avid Miami Dolphins Football fan.  

   Mr. Wagner was operations manager at Sharkey Transportation for 13 years.

   Survivors include his wife Rosalba "Rosie" Martin of Quincy; one son Scott M. Wagner of Quincy; three brothers John Spilker (Diane) of Springfield, IL, Jeff Wagner and Larry Wagner both of Chicago, IL; two sisters Susie Reis (Stephen) of Quincy, Julie Wagner of Boston, MA; one aunt Virginia Spilker of Quincy also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

   Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Sharon Lord and a brother Ed Spilker.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning 10:30 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Dennis officiating.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Paul Alex Wagner Memorial Fund.

Sorry to hear about the passing of Alex. Alex and I were very good friends in middle school in Rockford,IL. Way way too young to go! Mickey Bennett

So sorry to see you go buddy. Rosie, again sorry for your loss, I know how much you loved each other, but no worries he will always be around. Alex, miss you bunches! Save me a seat! Love you buddy!

I just heard yesterday that Paul had died. May God comfort you and all the family. I knew Paul from working at STI--always a pleasant smile on his face--good person to have on the team. May God comfort you and provide for your needs.
