   Margaret Waack, 98, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2219 Rancho Blvd., Quincy, died at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday (May 14, 2014) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born February 6, 1916 in Bluffs, Illinois, Margaret was the daughter of Carl and Flossie Kinder Scott. She married Richard D. Waack on June 2, 1933 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 13, 1982.

   Margaret was a former member of the Women of the Moose where she served as Senior Regent and the Academy of Friendship and College of Regents. She enjoyed bowling, working in her yard and flower garden and bird watching.  Margaret proved you were never to old to learn and earned her G.E.D. at the age of 75.

  Mrs. Waack was employed for 17 years at the International Shoe Factory and then for many years with the Credit Bureau of Quincy until her retirement.

   Survivors include two children, Connie Wheeler of Quincy and Richard Allen Waack of Schofield, WI; fourteen grandchildren, Steven Wheeler, Patricia Marie Wheeler (Mel Motley), Trudy Elaine Wheeler (Pam Fretwell), Penny Lynn Craft (Art), Kimberly K. Schoch (Tim), Alice Ann Wheeler (Laura Layton), Richard Baze, David Baze (Pam), John Baze (Trudy), Kevin Baze (Carla), Scott Baze (Deena), Richard Waack Jr. (Shelia), Paula Moser, Darryl Waack; and many loving great granchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Waack was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; a daughter, Donna Baze; a son in law, Howard Wheeler; a daughter in law, Mary Waack; a granddaughter, Christina Baze; a granddaughter in law, Nancy Wheeler; and five sisters, Vera McGraw, Hilda Peters, Dorothy Moore, Flora Dean Liesen and Omega Moody.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender  Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy by the Rev. Richard Martin. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery in Payson, Illinois.

   Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home in Quincy.

   Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or the Blessing Cancer Center.
