Sorry to hear of Earl's passing. He was a good fellow gardener at 12th street. We spent many happy hours gardening at that spot till he could no longer continue. Gary and I still garden there with several others now. We miss seeing Earl there every day - rain or shine.

Earl became an important part of all of our family. To have known him for 32 years was such a blessing. We saw him through the good times and was there during some of othe unfortunate. He was like a grandpa to our kids. We didn't have anyone to watch them before school at Bible Baptist so Earl offered for them to come and walk along with him while he cleaned. What a blessing that was to all of us. His heart was very tender and burdened for his famiy and others. Not sure that he made any money in the garden but he used it for a testimony for God. It brought him into contact with so many people who will remember him. The last 20 years we had the fortune to live next door to the garden and was able to see him Monday through Saturday and at church on Sunday. We learned a lot from him on gardening and hope we can be half as good as he was. We have shed many tears at your goimg, but we are also praising the Lord because we know you are exactly where you want to be. Your body was getting tired and it was discouraging to you, but you continued to honor God. My only regret Earl is that I'm not sure we ever made sure you knew how special you were to all of us. Love and miss you so much. We are thankful God placed you in our lives!
