INEZ  M.  TOURNEAR

   Inez M. Tournear, 89, of Quincy, died at 1:05 p.m. Saturday (May 24, 2014) in Sunset Home.

   Born April 30, 1925 in Golden, Illinois, Inez was the daughter of Jabez and Daisy Myrtle Louderback Wear.  She married James H. Tournear on September 11, 1943 in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1986.

   An active member of Bethel Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School, Children's Church and was a member of the Women's Ministry, Inez also enjoyed quilting, crocheting and craft work.

   Inez was employed at the Illinois Veteran's Home as an Nurse Assistant for many years until her retirement in 1988.

   Survivors include a son, Terry Tournear (Patty) of Maywood, MO; four daughters, Sylvia Sharpe of Quincy, Sharon Harlan (Larry) of Monroe City, MO, Alice Ballinger (James) of Quincy and Jeannie Florea (Billy) of Quincy; eleven grandchildren, Susan Barry (Rod), Jared Krallman, Troy Harlan (Brenda), Trent Harlan (Lynn), Dalton Davis, Dana Burrows (Mark), Tarra Florea, Ryan Florea (Mary), Shawn Tournear (Jennifer), Steve Tournear (Summer) and Stacy Allen (Khory); twenty one great grandchildren; a sister in law, Ileana Wear of Spring, TX; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Tournear was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; a son, Lyndell Tournear; two great grandchildren, Madalyn Florea and Zachary Florea; four brothers, Donald Wear, Jabez Wear, Cyrus Wear and Howard Wear; and six sisters, Shirley Cline, Daisy Junk, Annabel Junk, Bessie Ward, Adra Germann and Doris Russell.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Bethel Assembly of God Church by Pastor Keith Garner. Entombment will be in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum.

   Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Thursday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at Bethel Assembly of God Church.

   Memorials may be made to Bethel Assembly of God Church or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
