ROBERT PERRY

   Mr. Robert Perry, 79, of Quincy died at 7:40 p.m. Monday (June 16, 2014) in St. Vincent's Home.

   Born October 14, 1934 in Coatsburg, IL, Bob was the son of Roy and Emma Lussmyer Perry.

   Bob was a 1952 graduate of Maplewood High School in Camp Point.  He enjoyed hunting and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. He especially loved visiting and spending time with his family and friends. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

   He was an over the road truck driver for Gully Transportation for 25 years until his retirement.

   Survivors include his significant other, Sandra Dudding ;two sons, Ted Perry of Lawson, Mo and Tod Perry (Rachel) of Camp Point, IL; a daughter, Betsy Perry of St.Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, Alex, Augie, Maggie, Abbie, Mary, Malachi, Elizabeth, and Isaiah Perry; a brother, Roy Perry of Quincy; a daughter in law, Shirley Perry of Cambria, WI; a niece, Sandy Edgar of Chicago, IL and a nephew, Jim Perry (Lois) of Quincy.

   Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tim Perry and a nephew, Roy Dean Perry.

   Cremation rights have been accorded. Graveside memorial services will be Monday morning (July 28, 2014) at 10:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Larry Wentzel officiating, The Quincy Amercian Legion Post No. 37 and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Detail will conduct military graveside honors.

   Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
  
   Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bob was a really good friend to me. We made a lot of memories with our mutual friends. I would have him over for lunch on Sundays with my family. He loved good food. I can still see him using those long arms when he was talking. He will be missed. A friend forever, Sandy
