   Mrs. Diane S. Flesner, 74, of Plainville, Illinois, died at 7:02 p.m. Friday (August 8, 2014) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born October 15, 1939 in Quincy, Diane was the daughter of  Marvin and Ann VonderHaar  Holt.  She married Floyd Henry Flesner on November 9, 1956 in Payson, Illinois. He died August 1, 1994.

   Diane was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Adams County Home Extension and the Lioness of the Plainville Lions Club. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, working in her garden and visiting with friends.

   Diane was employed at Lohnes Veterinary Service for many years.  She loved being a farm wife, helping her husband and sons and taking food to them during planting and harvest seasons. She especially loved the harvest season.
   Survivors include seven children, Kevin Flesner of Payson, Christine Ann Steinkamp (Phillip) of Payson, Katherine Marie Merritt (Larry) of Payson, Koleen Lord (Rodney) of Camp Point, Kelly Flesner (Eric Points) of Quincy, Keith Flesner of Plainville and Kurtis Flesner (Shelley) of Plainville; sixteen grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; a brother, Phil Holt (Jean) of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mrs. Flesner was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Art Genenbacher; her husband, Floyd; a daughter, Suzanne Marie; and a brother, Daniel "Gus" Holt.

   Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson by Pastor Lois Sorrill.  Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

   Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home in Payson.

   Memorials may be made to the Plainville United Methodist Church or the Payson Fall Creek Fire Department.
