MARY  LOU  MCCULLOCH  KINNEY  RINGLER

   Mrs. Mary Lou McCulloch Kinney Ringler, 82, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 3924 Maas Road, Quincy, died at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday (September 24, 2014) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born August 30, 1932 in Denmark, Iowa, Mary Lou was the daughter of William and Helen Christ McCulloch. She married Norman E. Ringler on August 16, 1963 in Quincy, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2011.

   Mary Lou was a member of the Dorothy Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Salvation Army Auxiliary and had volunteered for many years in the tea room of Blessing Hospital.

   Mary Lou was employed as a secretary for the American Cancer Society for many years. She also worked in the Good Samaritan Home General Store until she was 80 years old.

   Survivors include a daughter, Sue Kinney Davis (Chuck) of Quincy; two sons, Tom Kinney (Cindy) of Shelbina, MO and Steve Kinney of Quincy; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters, Helen Newell (Stan) and Mabel Brown; a brother, James Mallum; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; a sister, Frances Simmons; and two brothers, Robert McCulloch and William McCulloch.

   Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Chaplain James Riley.  Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Salvation Army or Good Samaritan Home.

Sue, so sorry to hear of your loss of your Mom. I know it was difficult for all of you and your Mom with her enduring illness. I pray for your and your families peace at this difficult time.

Mary Lou was my sister who always communicated with the family. She guided me through the Bible and helped me understand that God is my strength and refuge. I pray her children will take refuge under His wings and know she is at peace in His loving arms. Psalm 91:4
