Wada Jean Russell, 63, of Quincy, died at 3:12 p.m. Sunday (October 12, 2014) in Sunset Home.

Born March 13, 1951, in Quincy, Illinois, Wada was the daughter of Wade and Deloris Robinson Braymen.

A 1969 graduate of Quincy High School, Wada enjoyed reading, knitting, craft work, attending craft shows and loved going to the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis.  Wada cherished the time she spent with her family.

Wada worked as an office clerk for a medical clinic in Quincy for several years until her retirement.

Survivors include a son, Jacob Russell of Quincy; a daughter, Ginger Russell of Ohio; a brother, Steve Braymen (Pat) of Quincy; a sister, Donna Hilgenbrink (Robert) of Shiloh, IL; a sister-in-law, Marsha Prestridge (Mark) of Ft. Worth, TX; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Wada was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeremy Russell; and a brother, Gary Braymen.

Memorial graveside services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Greenmount Cemetery with Major Andrew Miller officiating.

There is no visitation, but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.

Memorials may be made to the Quincy Salvation Army.
