Thoughts and prayers to the Bryson family. I last saw Doug in Quincy and he was with several of the Tin Dusters. He really enjoyed being a part of the Tin Dusters and fixing up old cars. It is such a sorrow he didn't have more time to enjoy his hobby and his family.

My Deepest Sympathies for my Illinois family. This was a shock to us here and we are grieving just as you are there. Uncle Doug was a very relevant man in my life and have a lot of very fond memories of him. I still have memories of family gatherings at the Bryson home when i was a youth and also more recently as an adult. Reta and I also remember him taking so many pictures at our wedding. There are many of his pictures we Loved more than any others..."Thank You". Uncle Doug was certainly the Family photographer and prepared & shared them with us...we so appreciated this....I am thankful that my kids got to meet Uncle Doug and share some time with him... In closing my Uncle Doug was someone i looked up to and will always be remembered.

My deepest sympathy to your entire family. When Doug was principal at Unity, I was principal at Griggsville-Perry HS. I always enjoyed seeing him at meetings, ballgames, and activities. He was a gentleman at all times, and it was very evident that his students, staff members, and community members loved and respected him very much. I will always remember Doug's smile and his love of education. He will be deeply missed but always remembered.

To the Bryson Family: Sorry for your loss. He was a great influence on a lot of students. I had him as principal at Greenfield and also at Unity Middle School. He was a one most distinguished teacher/principal that Unit 4 has had over the years. There should be more like him today. He will be missed dearly by all.

Condolence to all the family, friends and every life Mr. Bryson touched. He was my Grade School, Middle School and High School Principal. He walked on his hands, he told jokes, he smiled, laughed and was hard when he needed. He seemed to really care about the all the kids. He was one of the greatest men I have ever met. I did not know he was sick and I did not stay in touch with him, but I did think about him from time to time, I wish could of told him how much he meant to me growing up, he will be missed.
