Robert L. Eberhardt, 87 of Quincy died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday (November 13, 2014) in North Adams Home in Mendon.

Born August 5, 1927 in Quincy, Robert was the son of Louis and Fern Alexander Eberhardt. He married Loretta May Berndanner on June 25, 1949 in Quincy. She survives.

Robert served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the River of Life Family Church, an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping and square dancing with his wife. He was very devoted to his family and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandsons.

Mr. Eberhardt was employed at the Electric Wheel as a welder for many years until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta; one daughter, Debbie Tofall (Mark) of Quincy; two grandchildren, Heather Kay Nuttelman (Nathan) and Holly Lee Summers (Jake); six great-grandchildren, Nolan Nuttelman, Zachary Nuttelman, Corbyn Nuttelman, Joshua Summers, Cooper Summers and Lincoln Summers; one brother, William Eberhardt (Wanita) of Albuquerque, NM; and several loving nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Mr. Eberhardt was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Jeffrey Alan Eberhardt.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Family Church (2901 Payson Rd) with Pastor Gary Wallace officiating. Burial will be private in Greenmount Cemetery with military honors by the United States Navy Funeral Honors Detail.

Memorials may be made to the River of Life Family Church.

Loretta, it breaks my heart to see this tonight.,I loved Bob and you so much.That man had a heart of gold for everyone.I moved from Quincy almost 3 yrs ago but wish I could of caught up with you both for your great hugs and kind words.I will never forget either of you. Love you so much Loretta

Dear Loretta & Debbie,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a kind, sweet man and we were lucky to live next door to you all. I am glad he had a good, long and happy life with his wonderful family full of grandchildren.
