F. PAULINE FROST

   F. Pauline "Pauli" Frost, 88, of Quincy , died at 1:00 a.m. Sunday (February 15, 2015) in Good Samaritan Home.

   Born April 7, 1926 in Jackson County, Missouri, Pauline was the daughter of Ned and Mary Florence Sorrells Frost.

    Pauli loved hosting and attending parties. She enjoyed traveling with her dog, Ali, through out the United States.  Pauli raised and showed Arabian Horses, winning many awards over the years. Pauli owned and was awarded registration of the first 5 gaited Palomino horse in the State of Illinois.

   Pauli was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends who will remember her for her strength, style and grace.

   A 1943 graduate of Versailles High School, Pauli taught in Adam Country School during that time. Pauli continued her education and graduated from Gem City Business College in Quincy, IL in 1946. She  had been employed with the U. S. Treasury Department in Chicago and later at Merkel's Sporting Goods in Quincy until she became office manager with the Monty Christner Construction Company for many years until her retirement.

   Pauli is survived by two daughters, Vicke Lierly of Quincy and Paula McKissick (Steve) of Meridan, ID; two grandchildren, Sarah Beth Beckman (Kyle) of Payson, IL and Nick McKissick (Eden) of San Francisco, CA; two great grandchildren, Kinlee Beckman and Anya McKissick; a brother, Ned Frost Jr. of Sacremento, CA; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Pauli was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Neil Lierly.

   Pauli requested to be cremated. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Pauli's life Thursday (February 26, 2015) at 2:00 in the Good Samaritan Home Chapel by Chaplain James Riley.

   Visitation will be Thursday afternoon (February 26, 2015) from 1:00 until the time of services at the Good Samaritan Home Chapel.

   Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home or the Quincy Humane Society in care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301.
