McAlester, Oklahoma. I own a piano and two oil paintings that were painted by an R. Schmelzle. All are autographed by the artist. Could this artist have been an ancestor of Kenneth R. Schmelzle? I have no information on the artist and am not sure when the work was done, but probably in the late 1920s or 1930s. I have been told the painting of the piano degraded its vale. It is a Model L Steinway. The two paintings are of Bavarian or Austrian street scenes. My sympathy on your personal loss.
