   Wilma J. White, 86, of Quincy, died at 2:42 p.m. Friday (April 3, 2015) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born April 26, 1928 in Pekin, Illinois, Wilma was the daughter of William R. and Ann Hohm Wilson.

   Wilma enjoyed knitting, making afghans for family and friends for their special occasions. She loved walking and visiting with her neighbors and will be remembered for always having a treat for the neighborhood children or pets.  Wilma devoted her life to raising her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

   Wilma was employed for many years at Harris Corporation until her retirement.

   Survivors include two daughters, Robin McChristy of Quincy and Joyce Standbridge of Quincy; a son, William "Harv" White of Quincy; three grandchildren, Ryan McChristy (Ashley), Rhea Wakefield (Scott) and Skeeter Whittaker (Sara) all of Quincy; seven great grandchildren, Erika, Tyler, Ethan, Zakk, Bailey, Tyson and Evan; two great great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Wilson of Quincy.

   Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Scott Whittaker; and a brother, Joseph Wilson.

   Cremation has been accorded to Wilma.  Private services will be held at a later date.

   Memorials may be given to Wilma's family in care of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, 1435 State Street, Quincy, IL  62301.

Our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you. We both had the pleasure of working with Wilma at Harris. What a wonderful lady, may she RIP.
