LUCILLE  L.  KRUSBE

   Lucille L. Krusbe, 94, of the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy, formerly of Bensenville, Illinois, died at 4:45 p.m. Monday (April 13, 2015) at the Illinois Veteran's Home.

   Born October 28, 1920 in Withee, Wisconsin, Lucille was the daughter of Stanley and Josephine Masty Szerlong. She married Edward A. Krusbe on October 25, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2006.

   Lucille was of the Catholic Faith. Lucille was a longtime member of the Illinois Veteran's Home and enjoyed participating in many activities at the home.

   Survivors include two daughters, Judy Eichorst (Arnie) of Independence, MO and Shirley Whorton (Robert) of Keizer, OR; four grandchildren, Ted Natzel (Julie), Allison Lorr (Albert), Sean Whorton and Jessica Vendoloski (Paul); six great grandchildren, Emily Natzel, Delaney Natzel, Logan Lorr, Madison Vendoloski, Mahala Vendoloski and Finnegan Whorton; and three step great grandchildren, Albert Lorr IV, Matthew Lorr and Jacob Lorr.

   Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jeanette L. Krusbe; a brother, Stanley Szerlong; and a sister, Rosella Goostree.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 in the All Faiths Chapel by the Rev. Don Blickhan.  

   Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the All Faiths Chapel at the Illinois Veteran's Home.   The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Graveside services will be Friday afternoon at 1:00 in the Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois.

   In leiu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home Activity Fund, 1707 North 12th Street, Quincy, IL 62301 in care of Kristie McNay .

We have known Lucille while volunteering at the Veterans Home and found her
family that visited her weekly to be very devoted to Judy's Mother. She was
a special person to many, we wish to give our sympathy to her family.
