Mary was one of the truly exceptional people I have had the honor to know.
Though she confronted very many painful situations in her life, situations which would have overwhelmed most of us, she never lost her capacity for love, kindness and joy; she always continued to help others. Our family will always be deeply indebted to Mary and we shall all miss her very much.
