ELIZABETH  ANN  SERANO

   Elizabeth Ann Serano, 33, of Quincy, died Thursday (June 18, 2015) at Blessing Hospital.

   Born December 16, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois, Elizabeth was the daughter of Pastor Stephen and Deborah Hahn Southward.  In July 2014, she married Sterling Serano in Macomb, Illinois. He survives.

   Elizabeth was a graduate of Southeastern High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Western Illinois University. She enjoyed reading and attending church at Madison Park Christian Church, but her greatest joy came in taking care of her children and spending time with her family.  

   Survivors include her parents, Pastor Stephen and Deborah Southward of Pittsfield, IL; her husband, Sterling Serano; two children, Sakari Wright and Torrance Serano; a brother, Jason Southward (Libbey) of Quincy; two sisters, Laura Sethaler (Curtis) of Quincy and Kristin Southward of Pittsfield, IL; her paternal grandmother, Joyce Southward of Quincy; her maternal grandmother, Arlene Hahn of Wylie, TX; her biological parents, Jeff and Bernadette Southward of Quincy; her mother in law, Margaret Williams of Chicago, IL; many loving nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Alicia West of Macomb, IL.

   Elizabeth was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Warren Hahn.

   Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 am at Madison Park Christian Church (please use entrance E or F) by Pastor Chuck Sackett and Pastor Keith Ehresman.

   Private inurnment will be in Greenmount Cemetery.  The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Memorials may be made to Elizabeth's children's educational fund.

Elizabeth was one of the sweetest girls I knew. She graduted a year after I did. She was always laughing and smiling. She will be missed by everyone. RIP.. Elizabeth.
