Kathy Uhland, 40, of Quincy, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday (July 19, 2015) in Blessing Hospital.

Born July 1, 1975 in Quincy, Kathy was the daughter of Mikel and Betty Shrader Hendrickson. She married Mark Uhland on July 6, 2002 in Christ Lutheran Church in Quincy.  He survives.

Kathy was a member of The Crossing 929. She took pride in the upkeep of her yard and enjoyed flower gardening, attending flea markets, reading, crossword puzzles, babysitting and watching horror films. She loved spending time with her family, caring for her pets, going on motorcycle rides with Mark and taking long walks, collecting items on the way.  She will be fondly remembered as a "Scrap Metalologist", a skill she learned from her father.

Kathy was employed as a CNA for many years, retiring due to health concerns.

Survivors include her husband, Mark; her parents, Mikel and Betty Hendrickson of Marblehead; a daughter, Mikayla "Goob" Hardwick of Quincy; three sons, David Hendrickson of Loraine, IL, Todd Hendrickson of Mendon, IL and Daniel Hardwick of Knoxville, IA; a step daughter, Rachelle Rodriguez (Ozzie) of Miami, FL; two step sons, Joshua Uhland (Heather) of Raleigh, NC and Mark Uhland (Kristin) of Westminster, CO; and many loving grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kathy's wishes were to have her body donated to medical science. A memorial gathering to celebrate Kathy's life will be Saturday (August 1, 2015) from 11:00 to 2:00 at The Crossing 929 Annex.

The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Fly high with the Angels.
I made you promises and I will keep them. I hope you get to see the mountains from above in Heaven.
It doesn't seem fair that we didn't get those extra 2 years.
Thank you Mark & Mikalya for allowing Angel & I to see her.

To all of Kathy's family & friends, we are so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. And to our nephew Todd Hendrickson I'm so sorry that you've lost your Mother at such a young age.I know you've made your mom proud in many ways throughout your lives and you've brought each other much happiness as well. Your Mom is no longer suffering and when I read that she's done the amazing act of love in donating her body to science(which is a highly honorable selfless thing to do) it made me realize that she came to terms of her upcoming passing and want to give researchers more ways to find cures for these horrible diseases that steal our loved one. Rest assured Todd that your Mom is with you everyday and watching over you at all times. Live a good life & be the amazing man that your Mom always knew you would be. So in her honor~make her proud~~ always!! Love you Todd! Aunt Brenda & Uncle Rich
