He survives.  This October they would have celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Carolyn was the best friend to two daughters, Kellie Dietrich (Todd) of Quincy and Shelly Dittmer (Todd) of Peoria, IL.  Her greatest joy was her four grandsons, Mitch Dietrich of Davenport, IA, Garret Dietrich of Quincy, and Lucas and Evan Dittmer, both of Peoria, IL.

Carolyn was the owner and operator of the Hillside Salon in Liberty, Illinois from 1974 to 1990. Her favorite pastime was attending her grandsons' activities.  She also spent a great deal of time gardening with her husband.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with her friend, Pastor Marlin Rempfer, officiating.

Kellie and Shelly,

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a beautiful person who was always funny to be around, and always made people laugh. You were so lucky to have her in your life as both a mother and friend. Didn't she go on our senior class trip Kellie?? So much fun with her. Then she cut my hair for a little while, before I joined the Navy. I am sure these memories are nothing to everything you have shared with her. Once again please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. I will have you in my prayers.

Steve
