Our country has lost another heroic WWII veteran!
We have known and respected Ralph for many years - starting with my first job with Smith Douglass after leaving the Navy in 1965. We remained friends throughout these many years and kept in contact. He will be missed by all who knew him. Though we are unable to be at his memorial service in person, his family will be in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers.

Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt thoughts and prayers. We were so happy to connect Jim (James M. Black) with Ralph prior for their birthdays last year through the card that was sent. They had a nice chat on the phone! This year we were trying to see if we could drive Jim over for a visit but Jim ended up in the hospital, by the time he was out, I tried the phone for Franklin Grove but got a disconnected message. Have been trying ever since to find a contact. I will be going over to Jim's now (assisted living in Batavia, we're in Geneva) and will let him know...
