CARL L. ORR

   Carl L. Orr, 62, of Quincy, died at 5:52 p.m. Saturday (October 31, 2015) in Blessing Hospital.

   Born April 28, 1953 in Quincy, Carl was the son of Francis M. and Carlene "Mom" Hall Orr.  He married Dianna S. Berry Bristol on August 5, 1988 in Palmyra, Missouri.  She survives.

   Mr. Orr served his country as a Sergeant in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

   An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, Carl also enjoyed listening to Blues music, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

   A 1971 graduate of Quincy High School and 1977 graduate of Quincy Technical School, Carl was employed as a draftsman and design engineer for Harris Corporation for 28 years until his retirement.

   Survivors include his wife, Dianna; a daughter, Janae Robertson (Andrew) of Palmyra, MO; a son, Eric Bristol of Quincy; six grandchildren, Andy, Amber, Ethan, Carley, Bailey and Kenady; a great granddaughter, Olivia; four brothers, James E. Orr (Kim) of Fowler, IL, Gary L. Orr of Lake Worth, FL, Steven K. Orr (Carleen) of Quincy and Bruce A. Orr (Peggy) of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

   Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Chase Orr.

   Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Pastor Devin Cashman officiating.  Burial with Military Honors by the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Detail will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

   Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Thursday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

   Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society.

Diana and family I was shocked to hear about Carls passing. But be comforted in knowing he is a far better place now and he will be looking on you. Just know he will always live in your hearts.
